TakingITGlobal is a globally recognized organization dedicated to empowering youth to understand and act on the world’s greatest challenges. With a strong presence across Canada and internationally, TakingITGlobal has engaged hundreds of thousands of young people through education, civic engagement, and digital innovation initiatives, often in partnership with leading institutions and government bodies.
Illuminate Universe is a global education and leadership platform that has supported over 20,000+ learners across 100+ partnerships spanning government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. With roots in experiential learning and innovation, Illuminate designs programs that integrate real-world projects, mentorship, and accredited learning pathways to equip the next generation of leaders with both vision and execution capability.

Dress For Good is distributing 600 dresses around the world to our scholars.
Successful scholars will be invited to one of our in-person summits, where they will receive a dress of their choice—or have it mailed to them—along with a $50 CAD gift card to support their mental health or academic development, a mentorship coffee chat with a Fortune 100 professional, academic, or entrepreneur, and a full scholarship to an AI, financial literacy, or entrepreneurship bootcamp.
Scholars may nominate 3 applicants within their own network each year. All scholars will have continued access to our global community of mentors and career and leadership development resources.

The Impact We Make
Join Us to Celebrate and Fund Essential Programs That Transform Lives and Create Lasting Impact
More than just dresses, this initiative is designed as a transformative learning experience grounded in experiential education. Each cohort welcomes 100 scholars from around the world, selected to participate in a journey that combines confidence, capability, and community.
Scholars receive a dress of their choice from a catalogue of over 500 dresses alongside access to fully sponsored AI, Financial Literacy, or Entrepreneurship Bootcamp programs. Through these project-based learning experiences, scholars develop practical ideas, strengthen their confidence, and build portfolio-ready work that reflects both intellectual depth and real-world application.
Participants are also invited to attend leadership summits hosted in cities around the world, and are matched with mentors from leading global institutions, including Fortune 100 companies and Ivy League networks.
Beyond the program, scholars join a lifelong community with continued access to learning resources, career opportunities, and peers committed to growth, leadership, and meaningful impact.
